Sweet Zeb

The Work is sweet in the Wa-Tac

This week in the WA-Tac has been sweet!!! The lord has blessed us immensely. The samoan people know how to do missionary work our ward mission leader is an absolute saint he has taken his calling to the next level. He has made it his full time job. Whenever we need anything he is right their by our side. We are teaching many families right now and they only speak samoan so we just sit their and smile everyonce in a while while Brother Strickland goes ham and calls repentance and we baptize them. In the wapato ward we have lots of people right now that the lord has prepared I feel extremely blessed to be able to meet and teach these people. My testimony of the savior grows each and every day I cant believe I have been out for 9 months time has flown by.

My comp Elder Hatch is going home this transfer its a bummer i love him so much he is a crazy hard worker so many of my closest missionaries friends have left early from their missions out here 6 in counting and now 7 are leaving because their time is up Ive learned that there is always change and we just have to learn to adapt. Even though its hard it always works out.
I love yall

Cool Elders

My boy is busy busy busy...

We have no time over here in Washington to email this week we have appointments triple booked for every hour of the day.. so the work is going really well. We have found 5 samoan families to baptize and really elect people for the wapato park ward. Zebulon is still waiting to see if he can get baptized needs first presidency approval. We knocked on a lady named stacy woods door and she has been baptism worthy for about a year now because that's what she felt God wanted her to do so she is getting baptized this week. We have been very blessed and are loving the work. My new companions are cool they like to work hard so we all get along. Elder Evans is from Boise and Leavitt from mesa Arizona. Thanks for all of the love and support!!
Love you all

Samoan Ward

Mother's Day week

This has been an awesome week got to talk to my pretty mom on mothers day and the rest of the fam:) Got transfer calls and i am staying with Elder Hatch and we are getting 2 kinda troubled missionaries so that will be interesting..

At church on sunday Kierra maiden visited me that was weird and awkward not sure why she did it but whatever floats her boat.

Here is the daily in Tacoma mission lol

After i had the interesting visit a man named Zebulon walked into the church.. Zebulon is way cool he def has his issues he is working through right now though like kinda big issues like prison in 38 days for narcotics stealing cars steroids etc.. but he turned himself in because he totally found out that the book of Mormon was true.  While in prison for the 6th time zebby read the book of mormon pearl of great price and Doctrine and Covenants. He found out that it was the word of God that their is a prophet on the earth today and the only way to be happy in this life is to follow His son Jesus Christ. He asked us to baptize him right then... but obviously we have to work through some things. Zebulon didnt want to be breaking the Law of chastity so he married his wife a few days before coming to church quit meth and steroids 5 months ago like this dude wants to change his life. His wife is getting baptized next week but good old zebby has to get first presidency approval to get dunked but he has to go to prison for 10 months first... haha you could say it was a crazy day at church.. I would love to share more about this awesome day but it is very inappropriate lets just say the day ended with his shirt off in the Gospel essentials class showing us his tatoos and his muscles from all the steroid use..

Zebulon reminds me of Alma the younger and the sons of mosiah they both were not keeping the commandments of God but both had life changing experiences that brought repentance or is bringing repentance. The Atonement is a beautiful thing that cleanses us of all our mistakes everything unfair in life is made fair through the atonement of christ it is the only thing that brings Joy or true happiness.
I love yall stay chill.

Wapato

Hey all so this week has been way sweet. we don't get home until 9:30and don't finish planning until 10:20 so D comp time aint no thing. All of my companions are way fun. we have a blast everyday.

In church on sunday the mission president showed up randomly and we didn't have anyone at church in the wapato ward pretty frustrating.. but after sacrament a lady showed up and told us that she wanted to be sealed in the temple to her husband but needs to be baptized first... It such a miracle mission president talked to her a little and we put her on date to be baptized in 2 weeks.

The way we find Samoans to teach is pretty interesting hahaha we usually go to a grocery store, buffet, or park and walk around until we see some.. usually buying some type of food we talk to them and without fail they say oh yeah someone in my family is Mormon and then they invite us over to eat with them and to teach them. Its pretty sweet. We also go to the park around lunch and dinner times because they are always munchin with their monster Samoan families.

have a good week. fa

Elder Fife with Michael from Port Angeles

Emergency transfer to Wapato Park

TALOFA so this week has been insane. I got a call from President Blatter on Wednesday he told me 2 of my favorite Elders out here went home early:( real sad and that i was getting transferred back to the central conference of the mission. I am now in the Wapato Park Allenmore ward. Wapato park was the highest baptizing area in america in 2010 tons of humble people with your fair share of crazies. And the allenmore ward is the Samoan ward. On sunday i didnt have a clue what the freak was going on... haha they gave me a samoan preach my gospel and told me to learn it so thats going to be interesting. Our area doesnt have boundaries we cover the whole entire mission and have unlimited miles so its pretty sweet. At church we had like 5 different polys come up to us say they have a brother, cousin, or friend that wants to be baptized so its pretty awesome here. Plus i think ive gained about 50 pounds in the last couple days they dont let you go hungry. I have 3 companions Elder Hatch Elder Bagley and Elder Hughes.

Didnt get to see mike get baptized but he did saturday pretty sad he asked me to baptize him but the emergency transfer messed that one up.

A member lets us live in one of his houses and it is way sweet. we call it the wap house we have weights for days.

Love you all Elder Fife
