December 1st

mom, This week has been really awesome!! i got to go to the temple with mac and do baptisms it was super awesome he had a great experience!! he was baptized for his dad and grandpa and he got super emotional alnd told us that he knew the church was true and wanted to share his testimony on sunday. Yeah it was crazy talking to that guy richie its a small world!! haha you guys look smokin hot on that bullet bike!!! haha did yall do any black friday shopping?? i havent gotten the package yet... im not sure whats the deal but i bet ill get it today. my new companion doesnt stop talking and i feel like im going to kill him alot but i havent lost my temper or any thing yet and thats my goal to not get mad for this whole transfer. haha he doesnt stop talking i dont even say anything back to him ye just yaps and yaps i cant understand half the stuff he says because he starts words but doesnt finish themhaha every thing is just mumble jumble!! hopefully he gets better!! Has any other missionaries come home? hopefully not that would be sad. read dads email too because i have some stuff in there that i want ya to know. 

do you think you could get logans email for me?? I want to see how hes doing!! 

I have gotten sick like 4 times since ive been here so the sea level drama isnt true.. haha its been freezing cold and it snowed the other day!!! it was crazy it was quite a bit of snow to i didnt even think it snowed here... hopefully the pics i send ya work!!

December 1st

How is the new little comp?  Seems like a sweet, humble dude.  We will be interested to see how it is with all the new changes.  Wow Son District Leader.  What a great opportunity to bless lives.  How did the Wednesday training thing go?  That could be a bit intimidating with the former Z.L, 's but just be Bud.  

That is awesome about all the teaching and tisms.  The work seems to be rocking!  Hopefully Maria got better.  Mom said you were hanging with someone she grew up with for Thanksgiving.  We went to Connors farewell and it was fun to see all the old aggies.  

I have been riding my sick little bike all over the hood pretty much every day. We call her Bullet!  Even mom likes to cruise around on it.  She says she wants to learn how to drive her.  I went and picked up Hannah on Bullet from b -ball practice one day and the kids that were there thought it was pretty sweeet.  

That is awesome and very important to keep up the fitness.  The bike riding sounds worthy.  You sound like you want some more options for upper body.  What about one of those pull up bar things you put in the doorway.  Oh yeah, you cant do any pull ups.  sorry bud.  I saw one of those things at Ross and wondered if you might want something like that.  Let me know if I need to get you some exercise thing.  I know I was a better missionary cuz I worked out regularly.  It is true of everything.  I am a better teacher cuz I work out everyday.  Section 89 baby.  

Do you and your comp live solo or are other companionships in your apartment?  I sorta love that you get to work with a comp that is limited in the language.  That along with the new DL call will stretch you a bit.  But I know you are up to any challenge because it is the Lord's work and He will always qualify those whom he calls.  

Super excited to get the low down tomorrow.  I really really love you son!  Thanks for being such a huge source of strength for our family.  Loves

Yeah my new companion is really cool! he has a really cool testimony and stories. He lived in lyberia and there was tons of violence his uncles and other family members were apart of all the child drafting and killing and all that crazy stuff he said that they all had lots of family die and his uncle did lots of drugs and has tear drops all over his face. then he read the book of mormon and totally changed he is now a ward mission leader in africa so its pretty awesome!! hopefully that made sense. 

my first district meeting went really well. It was really scary at first because the AP's showed up and the zone leaders plus the former zone leaders training in my district.. so lots of really good missionaries in the room that i trained. haha it was on how to begin teaching and it went really well! i was really shocked at how well it went lots of prayer was involved i felt really good how it went. Being dl has helped me tons so far with teaching and public speaking. 

Maria fell of date because she had bronchitis and we havent been able to see her sense because shes been out of town and has had family over. Last night we put lyle on date again for the 20th hopefully he will quit smocking here soon. We have been struggling for the past little bit to find new investigators but we have continued to work hard and i know that we will have success. I got to drive the car this week!! it feels good to drive its been like 3 1/2 months so its pretty cool! 

That bullet bike is so dang cool!! i bet its super fun to ride!! is it super fast or do you want a bigger one? ive heard that if you get bigger your insurance goes way up. im glad your having fun with that!! thats super cool

A member in our ward said that he would give us his old work out stuff so i think we will be okay!! His name is brother laban from samoa and he is huge he said he can bench 375 a couple times so thats pretty crazy!! ha and he also gives us haircuts!! I weigh 175 right now so ive gained some weight but i have no idea where it is because i cant tell a difference.. 

Saturday morning we went to the temple with Mac!! it was one of the best experiences of my life. we woke up at 430 then were off it was super cool leaving our mission and see more of washington!! our mission is one of the first to let the missionaries go do baptisms for the dead with recent converts. So we did all the family history with mac and got the names for his father grandfather mother and grandmother. We had lots of support from the quorum there elder byram baptized him and i did the confirmations the temple also gave us 8 names to do. when we were leaving mac started crying and told us that he felt the spirit tons and wanted to bear his testimony at church after he passed the sacrament. haha hes so solid!!!

November 24th

dadddddd,

So transfers are happening tomorrow we elder byram is going to be a zone leader in wapato park and I am staying and getting a new companion named elder tugbe. He is from lyberia and is really hard to understand president blotter told me that I need to help him speak better English.. haha im pretty nervous about that. And also I was called to be a district leader.. I was pretty surprised and didn't know what to say don't really feel ready for it to be honest. In my district are 2 former zone leaders so kinda scary this Wednesday I am giving a training on how to begin teaching. haha so hopefully that goes well!!!

 

Yeah mom sent me a pic of that!! its so dang cool!! you better keep it for at least 2 years so I can test it out!! have you even got a chance to ride it with the weather being like it is? dang that's so cool I cant even stop looking at it myself. I do like rode bikes but I think I like that thing more to be honest!! dang that's gonna be a long winter looking at it all the time and not being able to ride it!!

 

Yeah sadly maria fell of date because she had bronchitis but she is planning on it for next week so I guess satan is doing everything he can to keep her from getting in the water!! This week has been really awesome we worked super hard we didn't have the car so it was really cold and stuff.. the average amount we ride in a day would probably be 50 miles like no joke my legs are getting jacked. and I have worked out this whole transfer got back in the habit I put a 20 pound weight on my back do pushups then some curls haha im getting tired of the same thing every day but its better than nothing I guess. haha kinda went off on a tangent there but yeah this week was really good we found 9 new investigators pretty good so our teaching  pool is pretty big. and we have less active members who want there kids baptized out of the blue so  we are excited about that too.

 

We have a few appointments for thanksgiving to so we will get super full.

Cole, dude you are awesome brotha!! you excited to munch some turkey? cuz I am even though turkey can be gross it its super dry but whatevs!! you jealous of dads new bike? cuz I am!!! I was looking at the camera of old pics and I saw a pic of me you and cade swimming and it made me miss you guiys like crazy!!! but heck 2 years isn't that long!! before you know it I will be beating you up! haha I love you tons have a good week

 

The girls night sounds fun on the mish its lots of boys nights.. haha and yeah im shocked how expensive it is to ship things... you can do that every time if it saves money!! I just looked at the bullet bike.. haha im in shock that thing is so cool!! like dang hes the coolest dad ever!! hah Elder byram thinks its super sick too!! And surprisingly no not that much only when people aren't really prepared for church or something they know we always have something spiritual to say so I guess we are the men for the job. My knee feels 100 percent I don't really feel any different now. so that's pretty awesome this week maria got bronchitis so she couldn't get baptized but she will this next sunday! Mac is going to the temple thanksgiving Saturday we are super excited about that he is getting baptized for his dad and grandpa.  

 

November 17th

Hey I had to speak in church yesterday too! haha we talked on faith and I shared the story where I would jump down the stairs and dad would catch me I said something like I started lower and worked my way up to gain my faith just like a testimony it takes steps and you can work your way up then you will be converted and the  way I trused dad was because we communicated and spent time together and I related that to prayer and reading and going to church I thought it was pretty good but who knows! haha that's so awesome that you guys got ski passes and stuff! that's going to be really fun!

 

Its been freezing cold here too!! the whole week it didn't rain and all the puddles and ponds were frozen pretty nuts I didn't think it got this cold in Washington... my hands have been really cold so gloves would be nice!! and could you send me a beanie or earmuffs of somesort? haha for Christmas present I would say skinny ties um and money I guess I cant think of anything right now I want to get a bench press thing and a pull up bar because I have been working out everynight but all I can do is push ups and curls because we have a curl bar I could just buy that stuff here though because we can go to walmart goodwill etc.. goodwill is like a di and I hear you can buy weights there but I have no idea.. ha hopefully this email makes sense I feel like im just rambling... but if I think of anything else I will let you know.

cade looks so good in braces dang jealous!!! what dang im so sorry about that sounds so painful momma you need to get some training wheels on that! hahahaha glad youre okay though! tyler didn't make it?? dang that's crazy! that's sad do you know anyone else that has come home? yeah we got to get that guy baptized maybe ill write mike a letter sometime!! iphone 6 that's awesome that phone is way huge!! brother awadjie a guy in a ward has one and I was looking at it its pretty awesome!! hes given us so much stuff!! shoes and food and justd tons of stuff he was baptized in the 80s in Africa came to America and got sealed to his wife last year really awesome guy freakin funny too!!! haha I didn't see this email until now so that's why I sent the other one without answering your questions and stuff... haha I love ya so much momma have a wonderful week loves

 

haha heres some pics I hope ya like em! haha I sent dad the week lo down I assume yall will read that or something I don't know... but I love ya mom so much thanks for the package I loved it lots!! that candy is all very tasty!! packages and Mondays are the things we look forward to out here on the mission! haha on Halloween we went and watched the best 2 years it was pretty awesome because we don't watch any movies! we watched it at president marchants house and hes a surgeon so he has a huge house and a huge yard its really awesome place. the pics I sent you are in Olympia we went there for a meeting and it was pretty cool to see the city and the sound for once we don't ever get to see it in summit. I love the water we saw a lot of jelly fish and stuff it was awesome. ill try and send more  pics it just takes forever!! I hope you have a wonderful week loves with all my heart

October 20th, 2 Months in

Aww that sounds so fun!! That's awesome glad you guys had a good time! haha im still in shock how that turtle lives in Utah!! that's crazy! haha technically im a greenie for 6 months... but it doesn't bother me that much! its crazy ive already been out for 2 months! I think I figured out how to send pics ill just put my memory card in someones camera and do it that way. ill try it today! This week was really awesome we got 4 new investigators and put 3 of them on date to be baptized!! We worked really hard! We actually get quite a bit of money on our cards every month its like 160! pretty good huh! I still spend it all but I thought it would be less. The rain has started a little but we are still seeing lots of blue skys and sun!! its really awesome I wasn't expecting it to be so warm. The craziest thing happened this week.. Elder Byrums aunt and uncle came to our apartment at like 1020 to say hi to him without him knowing.. isn't that nuts? I guess they talked about it but president said that they probably shouldn't do it but they did anyways so that was odd.. ha I miss you guys so much I look at the pics on my camera and miss you guys more and more!
